Aaron & Emily Hanson
Lead Pastors
In May 2025, Pastors Aaron and Emily stepped into the role of lead pastors. Over the past decade, they have faithfully served the congregation in various capacities, including youth pastors and associate pastors.
With new leadership comes fresh vision and strategy, and while change is inevitable, certain core values will always remain: a commitment to faithfully preaching God’s Word, a sensitivity to the leading of the Holy Spirit, a deep love for one another, and an unwavering devotion to honoring our Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Victory Church is excited the future under Pastor Aaron and Emily’s leadership as we continue to pursue all that God has in store for Victory Church.
Aaron and Emily both enjoy working out, watching movies, and spending time with their three children Grace, Makenna and Bennett. Aaron also enjoys golfing when he can and Emily is an avid reader.

Nate & Jocelyn Walbaum
Associate Pastors / Youth Pastors
Pastors Nate & Jocelyn have been at Victory since 2009. They have been involved in Children's ministry, Youth Ministry, Ushering, Altar team and more. Nate and Jocelyn have 4 children. They are currently running our Youth Ministry and Jocelyn also works in the church office. Their favorite past time is cheering their children on in their sport of choice and during the summers they love to kayak.
Dasthyan Lolo Kassa
Worship Pastor
Dasthyan was born and raised in Wamena, Papua, Indonesia. He discovered his passion for music at a young age. God brought him to Portland Bible College, and he graduated in 2023 with a bachelor's degree in theology with a Biblical Studies Emphasis. Dasthyan has been involved in worship ministry for 15 years. Worship is a lifestyle for him. He has the heart to worship God and equip fellow musicians to excel in everything they do for the Lord.
Josh & Angela Hjertstedt
Small Group Pastor
Josh & Angela Hjertstedt (Yurt-sted) grew up in Portland and were high-school sweethearts before being married in 2001.
Josh has worked a professional career while volunteering as a youth pastor for over 15 years. Angela is passionate about music and regularly leads worship services at Victory Church. Josh currently serves as our small group pastor and leads a Life Group. They believe in the transformative power of the cross that allows every person to be whole, healed and set free.
Carolina Jimenez
Children's Director
Carolina was born and raised in Colombia, South America. At 19 she moved to Portland, Oregon to earn her bachelor's degree in theology at Portland Bible College.
Carolina has been involved in children’s ministry for more than 13 years. She believes children are capable to understand the deep things of God, experience His presence and hear God’s voice, and this can be accomplished through teaching, relationship and fun!
Jeannie North
Financial Administrator
Jeannie is our longest-serving team member, having faithfully dedicated over 30 years to Victory Church. She serves as our bookkeeper, HR representative, and hospitality coordinator for many events. With a true servant's heart, she loves the bride of Christ deeply and is a blessing to our church family.
Robbin Hjertstedt
Associate Pastor
Pastor Robbin serves as an associate pastor at Victory while also managing administrative duties in the office. She oversees church database management, IT support, and various aspects of church communications. She and her husband, Joel, are graduates of PBC and have faithfully served in ministry for many years-including their time at Bible Temple and as senior pastors of Destiny Church before merging with Victory in 2020. Their son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Angela, also serve on staff.
