Aaron & Emily Hanson
Lead Pastors
In May 2025, Pastors Aaron and Emily stepped into the role of Lead Pastors after more than a decade of faithful service at Victory Church, where they previously served as Youth Pastors and Associate Pastors.
With their leadership comes fresh vision and strategy for the future. While change is inevitable, their ministry remains anchored in the same core values: faithfully preaching God’s Word, being sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, loving one another deeply, and honoring our Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Victory Church is excited for the days ahead under Pastor Aaron and Emily’s leadership as we continue to pursue all that God has in store.
Aaron and Emily enjoy working out, watching movies, and spending time with their three children—Grace, Makenna, and Bennett. Aaron also loves golfing whenever he gets the chance, while Emily is an avid reader.

Nate & Jocelyn Walbaum
Associate Pastors / Childrens Pastor
Pastors Nate and Jocelyn have been part of Victory Church since 2009 and have served in many areas of ministry over the years. Jocelyn leads our children’s ministry with a passion for helping kids encounter Jesus at an early age, while Nate serves as an Associate Pastor with a special focus on Life Groups and building authentic community.
They are proud parents of four children and love cheering them on in their various sports. When summer comes, you’ll often find the Walbaums out on the water, enjoying time together kayaking.
Dasthyan Lolo Kassa
Worship & Youth Pastor
Born and raised in Wamena, Papua, Indonesia, Dasthyan discovered his passion for music at a young age. His journey eventually brought him to Portland Bible College, where he graduated in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Theology with a Biblical Studies emphasis.
With more than 15 years of experience in worship ministry, Dasthyan carries a deep conviction that worship is not just a moment on stage but a lifestyle of surrender to God. Along with his love for leading worship, he is passionate about discipling the next generation—equipping young people and fellow musicians to honor the Lord and excel in their calling.
Josh & Angela Hjertstedt
Small Group Pastor
Josh and Angela Hjertstedt (pronounced Yurt-sted) both grew up in Portland and have been together since high school, marrying in 2001.
Josh has built a professional career while serving faithfully in ministry, including more than 15 years as a volunteer youth pastor. Today, he serves as our Small Group Pastor and leads a Life Group, helping people connect, grow, and live out their faith in authentic community. Angela is passionate about music and regularly leads worship at Victory, creating space for people to encounter God’s presence.
Together, Josh and Angela believe in the transformative power of the cross—that through Jesus, every person can be made whole, healed, and set free.
Robbin Hjertstedt
Associate Pastor
Pastor Robbin serves as an Associate Pastor at Victory, where she also manages key administrative responsibilities in the church office. Her oversight includes database management, IT support, and various aspects of church communications.
Robbin and her husband, Joel, are both graduates of Portland Bible College and have faithfully served in ministry for many years. Their journey has included time at Bible Temple as well as serving as senior pastors of Destiny Church before merging with Victory in 2020. Ministry is truly a family calling—their son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Angela, also serve on staff at Victory.
Jeannie North
Financial Administrator
Jeannie is the longest-serving member of our team, having faithfully dedicated more than 30 years to Victory Church. She serves as our bookkeeper, HR representative, and also coordinates hospitality for many of our events.
With a true servant’s heart, Jeannie deeply loves the Bride of Christ and continues to be a tremendous blessing to our entire church family.
